HalalBooking has launched an emergency appeal to come to the aid of the victims of the earthquakes which devastated southeastern Turkey, killing more than 19,000 people, injuring more than 75,000 and destroying infrastructure. 10 provinces with more than 13 million people are affected by the devastating disaster which struck twice on Monday while many people were still sleeping.

Within 24 hours of launching the campaign to its customers, loyalty club members and affiliate partners via JustGiving, the company had already raised over €30,000.

Turkey is HalalBooking’s flagship destination

Turkey is the most visited destination by HalalBooking customers. The company was therefore convinced that it wanted to give something back to the country and to the people who had contributed to the happy holidays of halal-conscious travelers during their holidays. CEO Elnur Seyidli said, “We consider it a duty and an obligation to extend hospitality to the Turkish people by helping them in their darkest hour, in this time of great need. »As humanitarian aid is a race against time to save the most lives, HalalBooking encourages donations, large or small, through the dedicated page. Anyone wishing to donate can go to the fundraising page on JustGiving: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/halalbooking-turkiye

In Germany, tourism is moving for Turkey

Given the needs in the earthquake zone and the growing number of victims, the will to help is great, also in the travel industry. Sun Express brings relief supplies and relief teams to Turkey with special flights, Anex Tower provides hotel rooms and provides people with food. Many travel agencies also collect in-kind and cash donations. Fraport provides one million euros, QTA 120,000 euros.

For the moment, we have not seen any initiative from EDV. Weird!
