In September 2008, Hainan Airlines launched a non-stop service from Beijing to Berlin-Tegel Airport. The German federal capital was reintroduced to the Chinese airline’s network in August 2022 following the interruption linked to the Covid pandemic, with the new Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport as its destination airport, which replaced Berlin-Tegel, today closed today.

Flights are scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (local time):
-Departure from Beijing at 2:20 a.m., arrival in Berlin at 6:25 a.m.
-Departure from Berlin at 1.55 p.m., arrival in Beijing at 5 a.m. the next day
The flight time from Beijing to Berlin is about ten hours and about nine hours the other way.

Congratulations to Hainan Airlines on the 15th anniversary of its service between the German capital region and Beijing. The long-term success shows that the demand for long-haul tourist and business travel is sustainably stable in the connected cultural and economic metropolises. Route decision enables dynamic urban partnership between Berlin and Beijing“, says Aletta von Massenbach, CEO of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.
