The SNCTAthe majority union of Air traffic controllersfiled a strike notice for friday September 15in the middle of the Rugby World Cup, to demand the establishment of salary negotiations.
The union announces a day of mobilization covering “all controllers
airlines and traffic watch officers on Friday, September 15, 2023 from the start of service
from morning to end of night service“. He denounces “the silence of the DGAC in the face of the inflationary situation despite the multiple alerts of the SNCTA“.
“Like all European service providers, is governed by European performance plans which provide for inflation compensation via a corresponding adjustment of the royalty rate, and therefore of revenues“, recalls the SNCTA, which requires that “these mechanisms are finally properly taken into account and an end to the unjustifiable dogmatism of public authorities which accentuates the dropout vis-à-vis European counterparts and devalues both the performance and the purchasing power of air traffic controllers“.
This strike by air traffic controllers on September 15 will take place one month before the general mobilization at the call of the inter-union (CFDT, CGT, FO, CFTC, CFE-CGC, Unsa, Solidaires, FSU), on October 13, in Lhe continuity of the numerous demonstrations against the pension reform.
