Flydubai will connect Dubai to Mombasa in January

Flydubai announced the launch of flights from its base from Dubai to Mombasain Kenya, from January 17, 2024.

Dubai low-cost becomes the first Emirati airline to operate direct flights from Dubai and the United Arab Emirates to the coastal city in southeastern Kenya. Flights to Mombasa Moi International Airport (MBA) will operate four times a week departing from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB).

With the launch of operations to Mombasa, Emirati low-cost carrier flydubai expands its network in Africa to 11 destinations in 10 countries, including Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Mogadishu and Zanzibar. “Africa is very important to flydubai and we are always looking for opportunities to better serve the market with reliable options to travel conveniently to Dubai and further afield on the combined flydubai and Emirates network. Mombasa will be another top destination on our network for passengers from the UAE, Middle East and Europe looking for pristine beaches, wildlife parks and cultural experiences“, said Sudhir Sreedharan, senior vice president of business operations.

Mombasa is Kenya’s second city and is known for its ancient architecture and beautiful sandy beaches. The city plays a vital role in import and export trade and is a gateway to East Africa, serving not only Kenya but also neighboring countries.
