Finnair will relaunch its transcontinental link linking the Finnish capital Helsinki to Nagoyain Japan, at the rate of two weekly flights from May 30, 2024.
This expansion is part of an already well-established flight program to Japan from Finnair, specialist in connections between Europe and Asia via its Helsinki hub. “ Growing demand for travel between the two countries has motivated Finnair to offer more options, thereby strengthening cultural and economic ties between Finland and Japan.explains the Finnish airline in its announcement.
“ We are delighted to reconnect with our route to Nagoya, a destination we served before the pandemic. Currently, we operate flights to Tokyo Haneda, Narita and Osaka. We will offer a total of twenty weekly connections to Japan for the 2024 summer season “, says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
Japan remains a destination of choice for European travelers since its reopening. In response to this growing demand, Finnair will strengthen its operations to Japan in 2024. For the 2024 summer season, it will operate up to 6 flights per week to Tokyo-Narita and up to 5 flights per week to Osaka. These connections will be perfectly synchronized via a connection in Helsinki with flights from Paris and Nice, and will provide a seamless and convenient travel experience for French travelers.
