Ethiopian Airlines will offer a new link during the winter season linking its base Addis Ababa (ADD) to London-Gatwick (LGW).

The London-Gatwick service will be open from November 21, 2023, with bookings already available. It will be served by Ethiopian Airlines at the rate of three rotations per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, by Airbus A350-900. For Ethiopian Airlines, it is in fact a return to London-Gatwick: it already served London’s second airport between 2005 and 2006, at the time in a Boeing 757.

On the outward journey, flight ET718 will take off from Bole airport in Addis Ababa at 00:15 to arrive in London-Gatwick at 05:15; the return flight will leave London at 10:10 a.m. and return to the Ethiopian capital at 8:40 p.m.

The Ethiopian flag carrier, a member of Star Alliance, already connects Addis Ababa to London-Heathrow (LHR) with ten weekly flights, and Manchester (via Geneva) with five weekly flights during the summer season.
