After the successful launch the offer of pre-order meals on board Emirates on UK destinations and the positive feedback received from passengers, the service is now extended to all routes to and from European citiesincluding Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, Saint Petersburg, Brussels and Madrid, as well as to and from Seychelles and Mauritius.
The new service allows passengers of the business class to pre-select their main course between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight departs, ensuring they get their preferred choice every time and helping to reduce food waste.
Invited to enjoy a dining experience in the sky, passengers can browse the inflight menu on Emirates.com or the Emirates app to choose from a selection of regionally inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients, up to fifteen days before a flight. Business class meals include a choice of chef-prepared dishes such as chocolate and hazelnut pancakes with apricot compote and ricotta sour cream for breakfast, beef tenderloin with thyme jus, roasted potato wedges and steamed vegetables for lunch, and pan-fried salmon trout with saffron cream, blanched green beans, braised beets and polenta with spring onions for dinner.
“Digital travel and innovation are at the heart of Emirates’ concerns. The meal pre-order service is complemented by website and app check-in, option for digital boarding passes and itinerary management, access to on-board digital menus, easy Skywards registration for immediate access to free on-board Wi-Fi messaging “, underlines the Dubai company in its press release.
