The airline company EgyptAir will launch next month a new link between Cairo And delhihis second destination in India after mumbai.
From August 3, 2023, the Egyptian national company will offer four flights per week between its base in Cairo and the airport of Delhi-Indira Gandhi, operated by Airbus A320neo that can accommodate 16 passengers in Business class and 126 in Economy. Departures are scheduled Thursday and Saturday at 11:50 p.m. (arrival the next day at 8:55 a.m.) and Friday and Sunday at 11:40 a.m. (arrival at 8:45 p.m.); return flights will depart India Monday and Saturday at 1:50 a.m. (arrive at 6:50 a.m.) and Friday and Sunday at 5:40 p.m. (arrive at 9:55 p.m.).
EgyptAir will have no competition on this route with an average flight time of 6h45, which is added to the daily flight to Mumbai (in a Boeing 737-800); it shares its codes with Air India, a member like it of Star Alliance.
The four weekly departures from Delhi “will provide excellent connectivity via Cairo to destinations in Egypt and some of the most popular global destinations” such as:
- Middle East – Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait, Sharjah, Muscat, Baghdad, etc.
- Africa – Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Lagos, Johannesburg, Entebbe, Khartoum, etc.
- Europe – London (LHR), Paris, Manchester, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Moscow, Barcelona, Munich, Madrid, etc.
- North America – New York (JFK), Toronto, Washington, Newark, etc.
