The low cost Orange has announced a new winter connection between the airport of Bournemouth And Lyon. The flights will operate weekly from January 13, 2024 for next year’s ski season and the February holidays.
This new route, operated on Saturdays until February 24, 2024 complements easyJet’s existing winter route from Bournemouth to Genevaoffering skiing and boarding enthusiasts in the south of England convenient access to popular Alpine resorts. “We are very pleased to announce a second winter route from Bournemouth to Lyon, providing more choice for our southern customers who wish to visit the Alpine region, whether for skiing, other winter sports, or a city break to enjoy Lyon’s impressive architecture, cuisine and history”, commented Ali Gayward, easyJet UK country manager.
Alongside easyJet’s existing winter route from Bournemouth to Geneva which began in December 2021, the airline said the new route to Lyon will offer customers in the south of England another gateway to the Alpswith the airport being a short distance from popular ski resorts such as Tignes, Val d’Isère, Alpe d’Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Val Thorens and La Plagne.
