SCAT Airlines today announced a new order for seven Boeing 737 MAX-8 to strengthen its existing fleet of single-aisle 737 MAX aircraft and open new routes to European destinations.

This latest order will almost double the private Kazakh airline’s 737 MAX fleet, which already operates three 737 MAX-8s and five 737 MAX-9s equipped with CFM International LEAP-1B engines. SCAT Airlines was the first airline in Central Asia to operate the 737 MAX of the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing.

Today, SCAT Airlines is the most dynamically developing airline in Kazakhstan and has the largest fleet of aircraft in the country“, said Vladimir Denisov, President of SCAT Airlines. “Replenishing the fleet with seven additional Boeing 737-8s will increase the airline’s transport capacity. This will also have a positive impact on the timely execution of flight schedules. The company will have the opportunity to expand its route network and offer passengers even more travel destinations.”

Based in Şhymkent, Kazakhstan, SCAT Airlines currently serves a network of domestic and international destinations in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Central Asia.
