Flydubai and CFM International announced a multi-year service contract covering 222 LEAP-1B engines for the fleet of 111 single-aisle aircraft Boeing 737 MAX-8/-9 (in service and on order) of the Dubai-based airline.
The contract also covers replacement engines. “Our LEAP-powered aircraft have provided our company with reliability and durability that contribute to the success and efficiency of our fleet management and operations.“, assured Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai. “This agreement with flydubai will allow the airline to continue its growth while expanding our long-standing partnership“, welcomed Gaël Méheust, CEO of CFM International.
Flydubai currently operates a fleet of 80 Boeing 737s which includes 30 Boeing 737-800NGs, 47 Boeing 737 MAX-8s and 3 Boeing 737 MAX-9s to serve a short/medium haul network.
