After the revenge tourism and last-chance tourism, perhaps it is time to carefully choose the next territories which will also offer equally exciting experiences and encounters. To support travelers in this process, the Mahana tourism fair will bring together French and international tourism players (tourist offices, accommodation, transport, nature or cultural activities, etc.) for an ocean of possibilities. In order to guide visitors in their research, the show will offer its emblematic thematic spaces as well as its latest addition: the Van Life Village.
Embarkation on the escape will be immediate, from March 8 to 10, 2024, at the Halle Tony Garnier.
To discover at the Lyon tourism fair, Mahana 2024
The first people to register for the show already have some inspiring and explosive suggestions in their pockets. So, from a short stay to a trip around the world, the ideas are numerous and adapted to everyone’s desires and budget.
In Botswana, new explorers will observe the incredible wildlife of the Okavango Loop (Africa Heart Tourism). They will follow the road of salt and volcanoes in the Danakil depression, in Ethiopia (Ethiopia Traditions Travel Tour), or meet the giant tortoises on Curieuse Island (Seychelles Tourist Office).
They will take the paths of the incense caravanners, in Salalah, in Oman (Emotika Travel) or will leave for the Christ sites in the Holy Land (Diocesan Association of Lyon – Pilgrimages Service).
They will share the daily life of the Chipaya, considered the oldest people of the Bolivian Altiplano (Culture Contact). They will marvel at the exuberant fauna and flora bordering the Amazon during the (French-speaking) cruise of the 3 borders between Brazil, Peru and Colombia (Big spaces). In Cuba, they will discover the mogotes of the Viñales National Park, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (Cuba Tourist Office).

In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, they will go to the community of communes of Balconies of the Dauphiné (Isère) where hiking trails, ViaRhôna cycle route and remarkable sites will be available to them.

For their new editions, the Tourism Fairs (Tourissima in Lille, Mahana in Lyon and Salon Mondial du tourisme in Paris) are offering a new visual identity where two travelers let themselves be carried away on the waves ofan ocean of possibilities.
