The company EIS Aircraft, acquired by Demgy Group, specializes in the production of thermoplastic and composite components for aircraft interiors at two sites in Germany.
Aircraft interiors: Demgy Group wants to build a European leader
By purchasing EIS Aircraft, based in Germany, Demgy Group wants to build a European leader in the production of thermoplastic and composite components for aeronautics and particularly in the aircraft cabin interior segment. At its Lemgo site, the company designs and manufactures by injection molding products from thermoplastic components for aircraft cabin equipment, armrests, tablets, air ducts, etc. The Euskirchen site specializes in materials composites, from development to finishing through assembly: baggage compartment components, class dividers, emergency equipment, seats for cabin crew, etc.
Synergy: the map of innovation and R&D
Another synergy between Demgy Group and EIS Aircraft, that of innovation and R&D since the latter has numerous patents of its own for products designed and manufactured in its factories and has the particularity of manufacturing its own tools, molds and to be able to assemble its products. The EIS Aircraft R&D team is constantly working on new ways of designing products and is working on the possibility of manufacturing high-performance plastic and composite parts rather than metal in order to make them lighter. Know-how which will allow the new group to “deploy innovative solutions on a larger scale to lighten structures and offer components created from bio-plastics or linen composites.
Demgy Group crosses €100 million in turnover
With this acquisition, Demgy Group, which is also in the automotive and medical sector, will exceed €100 million in turnover in 2023. Last year its sales were €75 million while EIS Aircraft achieved a figure business of €22 million in 2022 and has 130 employees. There are 660 of them at Demgy Group.
