Cyprus Airways is preparing to launch a new line from its base of Larnaca to serve Nicefrom December 12.
The Cypriot airline will provide two weekly flightsTuesdays and Thursdays, in Airbus A220-300 configured two-class (134 seats including 12 in Business and 122 in Economy). Nice aroused considerable interest from the public and tourism professionals. The French market in particular exceeded expectations, showing strong demand in both directions, explained its commercial director, Christos Limnatitis, on local radio Spor FM. Additionally, Monaco, Marseille and Genoa are easily accessible from Nice, making it a versatile gateway.
During the last Paris Air Show, Cyprus Airways obtained two Airbus A220-300s on lease from lessor Air Lease Corporation. It plans to acquire two more in 2024. It has announced that it wants to develop its activities with this single-aisle from Airbus (formerly Bombardier CSeries) and is targeting a fleet of 12 A220s to serve around thirty destinations by 2028.
