According to the site visanews.com, Costa Rica extends the duration of stay for tourist reasons without the need to apply for a visa.
Since September 8, this Central American country has allowed tourists to stay there for 180 days without the need for a visa. To benefit from this exemption, travelers must have a valid passport and an exit document attesting that they will leave the country within 6 months.
The entry permit granted to visitors from the 58 countries affected by this measure is limited to tourist or commercial purposes and does not allow permanent residence or paid work in Costa Rica.
