75 years ago, on March 31, 1948, the history of Costa Cruises began with the ship “Anna C” leaving Genoa for the first time for Buenos Aires with 768 passengers on board.
Today, Costa has become a holding company, Costa Croisière SpA (Costa Group), to which belong the historic brand Costa Cruises and the German brand AIDA Cruises. With a fleet of 22 ships, all flying the Italian flag, with a total capacity of around 70,000 beds, it is part of Carnival Corporation & plc, listed on the London and New York stock exchanges and a world leader in its sector.
To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Costa is planning a series of special events throughout the year, including this fall in Genoa, where the company’s headquarters are still located. From now on, for those who wish to celebrate this anniversary, Costa has launched its special Anniversary offers, to be taken advantage of for trips to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, a choice of 75 cruises to be carried out all year round, at specials to be entered until April 23, 2023.
