It is now official, the United States has indeed delivered, in the greatest secrecy, ATACMS surface-to-surface missiles to Ukraine. Images of the very recent attack on the Berdyansk air base confirm that this type of missile is used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike deep into the Russian system.
Attack confirmed
On the morning of October 17, Russian social networks announced a large-scale attack on the Berdyansk air base (Zaporizhia oblast, Ukraine). This is used by Russian transport and combat helicopters in their invasion of Ukraine. NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) clearly showed three significant heat sources on October 17 around 2:22 a.m. Paris time. The first images confirm the attack: it is possible to see several secondary fires or explosions in the video below.
