Chronic delay of the express train between Paris and CDG…

Most major airports have train connections between the city and the airports. Recently, we tested the connection from the center of Milan to Malpensa airport. It’s about 50 minutes journey for 13 euros. There are, of course, spaces to install luggage.

Today, it’s the RER B

You have to take the RER B to get to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport by train. Not the most practical, since many Parisians take the RER daily and delays often accumulate! There is no space for luggage. The journey time is often long and the stations served are in the 93… not always reassuring!

CDG Express delayed from 2024 to 2027

The CDG Express must connect the Gare de l’Est to terminal 2 of the airport, in 20 minutes, for more fluidity. Originally planned for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the line should finally enter service in 2027.

A delay caused by politics

As the media said New Factory : “While everything finally seemed settled for this line to be on time in 2024, the president of the Region and Ile-de-France Mobilités, Valérie Pécresse (LR) decided to pull the emergency brake . She fears that the work to build the CDG Express will disrupt the operation of the RER B line, part of which will be common.

Demogogic arguments to please a few elected officials who indulge in systematic opposition to the “train of the rich”.
