The coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place in less than a month, with a bank holiday weekend set to be packed with celebrations across the UK.

To mark the occasion, Marriott Bonvoy has unveiled the most unmissable experiences from its portfolio of London hotels to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

From limited-edition cocktails inspired by King Charles III’s favorite drinks to themed tea time offerings and historic tours, Marriott Bonvoy invites you to feel like a member of the royal family during the coronation weekend.

Perfectly located on London’s South Bank, with stunning views of Big Ben and the London Eye, the London Marriott Hotel County Hall is an ideal landmark for Coronation Weekend.

As this event approaches, the hotel offers a visit to discover the history of the building. A Grade II listed building dating from 1922, opened by King George V and Queen Mary as the seat of local government. Led by a guide, the visit will be free and will start at the hotel and end at Buckingham Palace.

For those looking for traditional fare, The Library’s Big Ben tea time offers guests the chance to enjoy the view from the hotel while enjoying a quintessentially British afternoon tea. To continue the celebrations, Gillray’s Bar is launching a “King Charles cocktail” in honor of the king, inspired by his favorite drinks. All visitors with the name Charles will be offered a cocktail.

Rooms are available from €893, breakfast included. The Coronation Tour will take place from May 4 to May 9 (except May 6) and will be free for hotel guests and outside visitors. The Big Ben tea time is offered from €73 per person. The King Charles III Coronation cocktail is sold for €34, or offered to anyone bearing Charles’ name who visits Gillray’s Bar until May 30.

Throughout history, the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London has long been the favor of royalty by hosting major events: in 1937 the King George VI Coronation Celebration Ball, in 1953 the Ladies’ Night of the year of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, or the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London will commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III with a teatime offer paying tribute to the passion of the king and British cuisine.

Five unique pastries have been created by pastry chef Anthony Hurst to represent the countries that make up the UK. To accompany these delicacies, guests can choose from a wide selection of Newby teas, including King Charles’ favorite blend, Darjeeling, or can indulge in a glass of Ridgeview sparkling wine or non-alcoholic sparkling rosé to celebrate his crowning achievement at the Park Room.

Room rates start from €591 including breakfast. Coronation Afternoon Tea will be available from April 3, 2023 until the end of May, priced at €71, or with a glass of Ridgeview Sparkling Wine for €82, or with a glass of non-alcoholic Sparkling Rosé at price of 82€.
