Porter Airlines inaugurated this week a link to Victoria, British Columbiastarting from its base Toronto-Pearson.

This connection from one coast to the other in Canada is ensured by a daily rotation in Embraer E195-E2 of 132 seats in a two-by-two row configuration, that is to say without middle seats, to offer more individual space to all passengers.

Victoria Airport is one of our most popular new markets, explained Kevin Jackson, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Porter Airlines. We now serve the largest cities in Western Canada and Victoria all the way to St. John’s in the east, including many towns in between. We intend to serve many more destinations throughout North America with the aircraft added to our fleet in 2024.”

For his part, WestJet announced the launch in February 2024 of a line between Victoria and Las Vegasreintroducing for the first time since 2017 a cross-border connection from the capital of British Columbia. This non-stop connection will be operated with two flights per week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Also remember that WestJet will offer a new non-stop connection between Kelowna, another city in British Columbia, and Las Vegas, starting December 15 with two flights per week.

WestJet is proud to add its new route to its winter schedule and strengthen cross-border connectivity between Victoria and Las Vegas. As we continue to offer guests across Canada even more affordable and accessible opportunities to escape the cold and find the sun this winter, Victoria is an important part of our Western Canada growth plan said John Weatherill, executive vice-president and chief commercial officer of WestJet.
