One of the most impressive acquisitions/mergers of recent years, that between Air India and Vistara, will also mark the end of one of the two airlines. In the recovery process, which according to initial estimates will end next year, Air India will end up “sacrificing” the Vistara brand.

According to the specialized site simpleflyingthe decision was reportedly made to make room for the historic Air India brand, which is seen as more internationally recognizable.

Indeed, Vistara has a very strong recognition in the Indian market, but outside the local market, it is clear that Air India is much more recognized and has a trajectory of 90 years of services.
