CAE and Air Europa announced that they are building on their long-standing partnership to sign a long-term agreement to supply pilot training (PNT) and cabin crew (PNC) to Madrid, Spain.

As part of this agreement, CAE will deploy an FFS B737NG flight simulator at its Madrid training center in October 2023. The FFS 7000 XR-Series Level D of the latest generation will provide an immersive training experience for pilots and increase training capacity to support the growth of Air Europa and its subsidiary Air Europa Express. Additionally, CAE Madrid will become the training hub for Air Europa cabin crew, with a new Boeing B787 gate training device bringing new capabilities to the training center.

Formerly known as Canadian Aviation Electronics, CAE has been the training provider of choice for Air Europa since 2010 and Air Europa Express since 2015. In addition to its operations in Madrid for Air Europa, CAE also operates a B737NG FFS at its center CAE Palma de Mallorca training course. More than 800 pilots and 2,000 cabin crew members from Air Europa and Air Europa Express will be trained each year at the two centers.

In Madrid, CEA is a comprehensive commercial aviation training center that offers a wide range of training solutions for airline pilots, cabin crew and initial training. When the B737NG simulator enters service, the center will operate 12 flight simulators for Airbus, ATR, Boeing, Bombardier and De Havilland aircraft, as well as equipment for cabin crew safety training.
