British Airways partners with Paramount+ to boost inflight entertainment

British Airways doubled the digital content of his in-flight entertainment system since the beginning of the year, offering a large selection of series, films, podcasts, children’s programs and more, thanks to a partnership with the Paramount+ channel.

British Airways expects more than a million customers to watch content on its long-haul flights this month. “We’ve partnered with brilliant brands like Paramount+ and even created a dedicated British Original channel. From a recently released blockbuster movie to the latest podcast, there’s something for everyone as they fly this summer says Calum Laming, director of customer service at British Airways.

Families can choose from a variety of content perfect for toddlers, with over 26 classic children’s favorites, such as Scoob!, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol . The British airline has also added 20 programs to the new “Summer Fun” category, including The Super Mario Bros, Movie and Trollsas well as a whole new category Legoperfect for interrupting a long trip.

Customers who want to stream content to their personal devices can also take advantage of the Wi-Fi connectivity from British Airways with various packages available including messaging and ‘browse and stream’ options. The British airline is gradually rolling out Wi-Fi to its long and short-haul fleet, and the majority of its planes are now connected.

Elsewhere, British Airways is improving its meal offer for customers traveling to Delhi and Mumbai from London Heathrow on outbound and return flights, including the introduction of full secondary hot meals in all cabins and customers traveling in Club World (Business) can also enjoy a range of fresh snacks from the Club Kitchen. Since August 8, it has also offered a brand new snack in Euro Traveler (Economy), with a choice of a banana cake or a sultana flapjack, which will be available on all flights departing from London-Heathrow and London-Gatwick.

On the ground, British Airways has also invested in its menus in its lounges, including an improved selection of hot breakfasts, afternoon tea and Great British Picnic treats in its Galleries lounges at London-Heathrow and London-Gatwick . Elsewhere, the airline has updated its a la carte First Dining with local specialties and a British Original offering in its US lounges, with a selection of new cocktails, local craft beers and other drinks now available.
