British Airways arrives in Accra, Air Canada inaugurates Vancouver-Dubai

The first flight of British Airways between London-Gatwick and the Ghanaian capital Accra landed at Kotoka International Airport (ACC) yesterday at 6:26 p.m. local time.

British Airways offers three flights per week between London and Accra, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. A fourth weekly flight will be added to the route’s timetable from April next year. Flights are operated long-haul Airbus A350.

The maiden flight ofAir Canada from Vancouver arrived at Dubai Friday, connecting Western Canada to the Middle East.

The connection is provided by four weekly flights, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, operated on a long-haul basis. Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Departures take off from Vancouver at 8:50 p.m. to arrive the next day at 11:50 p.m., with return flights leaving Dubai at 2:05 a.m. to land at 5:55 a.m. The Canadian airline already serves Dubai from Toronto-Pearson, with a daily flight.
