Belgian Ryanair pilots on strike this weekend: 44 flights canceled in Charleroi

Ryanair canceled 44 departing and arriving flights at theCharleroi airport (Brussels-South) the July 15 and 16due to belgian pilots strike Irish low cost.

More than 80% of the pilots stationed at Charleroi airport are on strike on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Belgian airport. But Ryanair says “be able to provide more than 60% of their programin Belgium using non-Belgian crews.

Belgian pilots’ unions criticize Ryanair for not wanting to respect a collective agreement providing for a certain number of days of rest in exchange for wage cuts of around 20% granted in 2020 at the time of the Covid-19 crisis.
