In the heart of the capital of Majorca, but outside the tourist district, the Majorcan chain HM recently opened its latest urban hotel: the Palma Blanc.
For the record, this Majorcan group currently has 23 hotels: 14 in Majorca, 5 in the Dominican Republic, 3 in Mexico and 1 in Tenerife.
On the site of the former Firestone tire building, located a 15-minute walk from the cathedral, one of the greatest architectural jewels of the Mediterranean and the sea, stands an establishment with innovative and avant-garde architecture. guard. Local materials
As soon as you enter the lobby of this 4-star hotel, the refined style is evident. Plant walls frame the elevators leading to the 116 rooms: basic, superior, more spacious junior suites and a few rare suites. Everywhere the local interior designer, Antonia María Horrach Moyà, from studio AM29, has decided to use only traditional Majorcan materials: wood for the furniture, granite for the sinks, local fabrics to cover the walls. , ceilings and even wall lighting. And of course, the famous terrazzocomposed of stone fragments, colored marble and polished cement, for its glittery mineral appearance on the floor, including in the rooms.

Another strong point of this urban hotel dedicated to leisure and business customers: the interior patio with a pleasant garden area. This green haven extends a modular conference room with 70 seats and a VIP cinema room with 30 seats.
