Austrian Airlines is the first airline of Lufthansa Group to set up a reserved baggage check-in area to passengers in First and Businessas well as Senator and Frequent Traveler members at Vienna Airport.

Passengers can choose to be personally greeted and assisted by an employee at the counter, or to use the modern automatic baggage drop system and check in their baggage themselves. All you have to do is scan your boarding pass, print your bag tag, attach it to your bag and check your bag in at the bag drop. Fast, easy and without any other interaction.

This service will soon also be offered by the German company Lufthansa at Frankfurt airport. At each of the two airports, the new baggage check-in areas will be easily recognizable and will have separate access to the security checkpoint.

In addition, Austrian Airlines has expanded its catering offer on its long-haul flights with a new concept, called “Tastefully Austrian“. Passengers can now personalize their meals on board according to their preferences. In Business class, you are offered a welcome drink of your choice, accompanied by a chocolate bar. You have the choice between two main dishes inspired by international cuisine and a typical Austrian dish. The dining experience is completed with a cheese platter, Austrian coffee drinks prepared in front of you to accompany your dessert and a selection of digestives.

You can also enjoy Austrian hospitality in Economy and Premium Economy. Always within the framework ofTastefully Austrian“, new recipes and tasty creations await you, for a gourmet culinary experience to discover the flavors of Austria.
