As seasonal flights linking Paris to Vágar come to an end for the 2023 season, Atlantic Airwaysthe national airline of the Faroe Islands unveils its flight schedule for 2024.

Building on the success of the airline this year, Atlantic Airways intends to attract the French to the archipelago located halfway between Scotland and Iceland by offering 3 flights per week from March 22 until mid-October. An opportunity to discover 3 destinations off the beaten track: breathtaking panoramas, waterfalls, picturesque villages, freshness and authenticity guaranteed!

To discover this still preserved archipelago, there is nothing better than starting with the capital Tórshavn, the largest city in the archipelago. Located in the southern part of the east coast of Streymoy, it is surrounded by Mount Húsareyn to the west (347 meters) and Mount Kirkjubøreyn to the southwest (350 meters), both separated by the Sandá River. This city offers a variety of historical and cultural sites to visit, starting with the National Museum which traces the history and culture of the islands. Other attractions to discover include Fort Skansin which dates from the 16th century and is located on a small island at the entrance to the port.

Atlantic Airways is very satisfied with the results of this year 2023, the Faroe Islands attract more and more travelers keen to discover a destination preserved from mass tourism with breathtaking landscapes. The company sees potential for even greater growth in the number of routes and is very optimistic about the coming year.

The company will open the doors of this archipelago to the French earlier than planned next year. Direct flights will begin with 2 rotations per week from March 22 then will move to 3 weekly flights from April 22, 2024. Flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the summer season between Paris-CDG and Vágar airport, until mid-October 2024.

Atlantic Airways has one of the newest fleets in Europe, consisting of 4 Airbus aircraft 320ceo/neo (and 2 Leonardo AW139 helicopters).
