At the international defense industry exhibition IDEF 23, the Turkish manufacturer ASELSAN will present its new air and missile defense system GÜRZ.
Presentation as part of the IDEF 2023 defense industries exhibition
The IDEF International Defense Industry Exhibition has been held once every two years since 1993. This year it will be held from July 25 to 28 in Istanbul. On this occasion, the Turkish defense manufacturer Aselsan will present its new GÜRZ air and anti-missile defense system.
Designed to operate against targets at low and very low altitudes, the system is mounted on an 8-wheel armored truck. Intended to protect convoys as well as fixed installations, according to the Turkish media specializing in defense issues Savunma Sanayi ST, the system is effective against:
- drones,
- helicopters,
- fighter planes,
- cruise missiles
- air-to-ground munitions.
