After Flybe, it is the struggling Norwegian airline Flyr, which has just gone bankrupt. The airline announced on Tuesday evening that it had decided to file for bankruptcy with the Oslo court. All departures would be canceled and ticket sales halted.
The low-cost airline had previously tried unsuccessfully to find financiers to fill the financial holes. Earlier this week, Flyr had already admitted that the short-term liquidity situation was critical. The company has failed to raise the equivalent of around 30 million euros in fresh funds from investors in recent days.
Flyr only started in the summer of 2021. With a fleet of around ten aircraft, the airline offers national and European routes.
How is it going for customers who have paid for the flight.
