This service set up by the French start-up Alltheway allows passengers traveling from Paris to check in and drop off their luggage at their home or hotel in the city center so that they can then be delivered directly to their destination. It is now adopted by SITA, an information technology provider for the airline industry.
Alltheway agents go to the passenger’s hotel or home, weigh and seal the bag, then check it in with the airline. Using the solution SITA Bag Journey, Alltheway integrates with airline tracking systems and shares real-time baggage tracking information at every stage of their journey out of the airport. The start-up also receives baggage tracking data collected during airport processing operations. This information is then shared with the passenger via the Alltheway app so they can track their luggage in real time.
The start-up’s agents also use Flight Data Global from SITA for information on flight check-in and customer departure times. This technology helps them plan pickup times and ensure bags arrive at the airport on time. Alltheway also plans to launch an airport baggage claim and city delivery solution soon.

Alltheway has already partnered with Air France-KLM and the Accor hotel group to offer this baggage drop-off service to their customers in Paris.
