Just a few hours ago, Ostend International Airport in Belgium, near the city of Bruges, was evacuated for security reasons due to a bomb threat.

At this time, there are no details on the resumption of activities.

The news comes a few hours after the evacuation, for the same reason, of 12 airports across France. This morning, we got the news about the airports of Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Toulouse and Beauvais.

Later in the day, six more French airports were evacuated by authorities due to security threats.

Around 1 p.m., the alarms went off in Rennes, Biarritz, Pau, Carcassonne and Strasbourg; security procedures also in Bordeaux, where checking a forgotten baggage activated the alarm.

After the necessary checks, operations at airports are slowly resuming and, so far, all alerts have proven to be unfounded. Nice airport has already resumed its activities after checks on abandoned baggage. Lyon, Beauvais and Bordeaux are also resuming their activities.
