Mokulele Airlines is expanding its services by returning to Kapalua Airport, located on West Maui.

The carrier will begin operating twice-daily round-trips between Honolulu International Airport (IATA code HNL) and Kapalua Airport (JHM) on July 1. Mokulele Airlines will offer one-way fares from $59.97, including taxes and fees, based on seat availability.

“As we expand our fleet, we will continue connecting the dots in Hawai’i,” says Ron Hansen, CEO of Mokulele Airlines. “The new flights will provide customers with additional options when traveling to and from Maui at affordable prices.”

Mokulele Airlines Cessna 208B Grand Caravan N862MA departs Kahului Airport on Maui on February 20, 2012. Mokulule Airlines operates four Cessna 208Bs on inter-island routes within the State of Hawaii, using 'Mokulele Express' branding

“The added lift from Honolulu to Kapalua will be valuable as we head into the busy summer season,” says Michael Jokovich, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. “It will provide our guests with a convenient alternative to flying into Kahului and additional access for visitors to enjoy all that Kaanapali has to offer.”

Flights are available for booking at, by calling the airline’s reservations department at +1 866.260.7070, or through travel agents.

Mokulele Airlines has been adding new destinations to its network, most recently by providing the only daily non-stop flights between Kahului and Lanai City. One-way fares on the route start at $45.00.

In operation since 1994, Mokulele Flight Service was purchased by Scottsdale, Arizona-based TransPac Aviation Holdings in late 2011.

Mokulele offers about 50 flights a day connecting Maui and Oahu to the Big Island, Lanai and Molokai, flying the routes with nine-seat Cessna 208B Grand Caravan turboprops. The company maintains its headquarters in Kailua-Kona.
