JetBlue Airways will begin non-stop, daily service between Hartford-Springfield’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Connecticut and West Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in Florida on January 12.
West Palm Beach will be the fourth destination JetBlue Airways has added from Hartford in a little over a year. The airline began service from Bradley International on November 17, 2010.
Introductory-price tickets are on sale through October 6, 2011 at www.jetblue.com/new from $79 each way plus taxes and fees, for travel between January 12 and March 31, 2012.
“JetBlue’s ongoing and increasing investment in service to and from Bradley is welcome news for tourists and business travelers – not to mention Connecticut’s economy,” says Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy. “From its finance center in Darien to its use of Pratt & Whitney engines on its jets, JetBlue has proven itself as a key partner for growth in our state. I applaud their decision to begin service to yet another Florida destination from Bradley.”
“We are thrilled about this new daily Hartford-West Palm Beach flight – it certainly reaffirms the trust and longstanding commitment by JetBlue in our destination as they grow their South Florida presence,” says Jorge Pesquera, Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau president and CEO. “JetBlue has been serving The Palm Beaches and Boca Raton through PBIA since their company’s launch in 2000, and we are very proud that a full decade later both JetBlue and JetBlue Getaways continue to step up this partnership, bringing thousands of new customers from a critically important and affluent market.”
JetBlue Airways’ schedule between West Palm Beach and Hartford will see its daily flight depart PBI at 2:30 p.m. and land at BDL at 5:15 p.m. In the other direction, JetBlue’s flight is timed to leave BDL at 6:00 p.m. and arrive at PBI at 9:10 p.m. The carrier will operate its Hartford-West Palm Beach service with Airbus A320s.
The airline also serves Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and Orlando non-stop from Hartford and will begin service from Bradley International to San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 5, 2012.
In addition, Hartford customers can connect on JetBlue to other destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America via Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, including Aguadilla and Ponce in Puerto Rico; Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic; Bogota in Colombia; and Cancun in Mexico. They will also be able to connect to JetBlue’s recently announced St. Thomas and St. Croix flights at San Juan.
