Indian carrier Jet Airways is adding an additional daily service to Bangkok from each of its two main hubs and one of the two new Bangkok services will continue on to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, a new destination for the airline.

Jet Airways will operate the new Ho Chi Minh City service as an add-on to an additional daily round-trip between Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IATA code DEL) and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).

Ho Chi Minh City’s Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (SGN) will be Jet Airways’ 22nd international destination. Jet Airways signed a comprehensive strategic co-operation agreement with Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam’s flag carrier, in October 2011.

Jet Airways says it is introducing the new Delhi-Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh City round-trip to bolster its hub strategy. The carrier’s winter schedule aims to increase Jet Airways’ connectivity to cities in the ASEAN region and beyond through its primary hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.

In line with this strategy, Jet Airways is also adding a third daily flight between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) and Bangkok for its winter schedule. When this afternoon flight begins operating, Jet Airways will be the only Indian carrier offering three daily round-trips between Mumbai and Bangkok, according to the airline.

Jet Airways’ schedule for its new Delhi-Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh City calls for flight 9W 064 to depart DEL at 8:55 a.m. and arrive at BKK at 2:30 p.m. local time. The flight leaves BKK at 3:45 p.m. and lands at SGN at 5:15 p.m. local time.

In the other direction, flight 9W 063 will depart SGN at 6:15 p.m. and reach BKK at 7:45 p.m. local time. The flight will then leave BKK at 8:50 p.m. to arrive at Delhi’s Terminal 3 at 11:59 p.m. local time.

Jet Airways says that, in both directions, its new Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh City round-trip will also provide convenient connections at BKK with Jet Airways flights to and from Mumbai.

Flight 9W 070, which leaves BOM at 7:50 a.m., arrives at BKK at 1:45 p.m. local time. This will allow connecting passengers to transfer to its new BKK-SGN flight 9W 064, which departs BKK at 3:45 p.m. for Ho Chi Minh City.

In the other direction, Jet Airways’ flight 9W 063 from Ho Chi Minh City, which arrives at Bangkok at 7:45 hrs p.m. local time, connects with a Jet Airways flight which leave BKK at 9:35 p.m., landing at BOM at 12:30 a.m the following morning, local time.

Jet Airways’ new, third daily round-trip between Mumbai and Bangkok will see flight 9W 060 leaving BOM at 12:55 p.m. and landing at BKK at 6:35 p.m. local time. In the other direction, flight 9W 061 will depart BKK at 8:55 a.m. and reach BOM at 11:55 a.m. local time.

The airline will operate its additional Mumbai-Bangkok round-trip with Boeing 737-800 jets.
