Gulfstream International Airlines is launching service linking Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) and seven Montana cities, with the first of the new flights to begin on May 1.

The first new service will link Billings with Lewistown and Havre, the latter on a one-stop basis. On May 8, Gulfstream International Airlines will added non-stop and one-stop service from Billings to Glasgow and Wolf Point.

Then, on May 15, the airline will add the balance of the cities, launching non-stop service between Billings and Miles City and Sidney and one-stop service to Glendive.

All of the new services will be on at least a twice-a-day basis six or more days a week.

The flights will be operated by Gulfstream Airlines and ticketed in cooperation with Island Air of Hawaii. Gulfstream says its passengers will have a seamless travel experience on its new Montana network, because Gulfstream and Island Air will offer through-ticketing and baggage transfer with most major carriers at BIL.

Gulfstream passengers may book their flights by calling 1-800-499-7450. Schedule and general information is available at Gulfstream International Airlines’ web site at www.flygia.com.

“Montana is a welcome addition to our route network,” says Mickey Bowman, Gulfstream’s vice president of corporate development. “We are delighted to bring the Gulfstream product to the western U.S. Our new service will feature convenient and reliable schedules as well as reasonable local fares.”

Gulfstream currently operates 23 Beech 1900D turboprops and offers more than 150 daily system departures throughout Florida, the Bahamas, Ohio and (from May 1) Montana.

The carrier’s Montana flights will operate under a ticket-hosting and codeshare relationship with Island Air of Hawaii. Gulfstream International is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and has approximately 500 employees.
