Vision Airlines is launching new services to Orlando Sanford International Airport and Charlotte County Airport in Florida, from the week of December 19.
The carrier will operate non-stop flights from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Airport (IATA code CMI) in Illinois to Charlotte County Airport (PGD), which serves the Florida communities of Fort Myers and Punta Gorda, on Mondays and Fridays.
Vision Airlines will also operate services from Clarksburg, West Virginia’s North Central West Virginia Airport (CKB) to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The carrier will also start operating non-stop flights from Louisville to Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, Charlotte County Airport and Orlando Sanford. A direct flight from Louisville to Northwest Florida Regional Airport (which serves the resorts of Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Florida’s Emerald Coast) through Atlanta will continue as well, according to Vision Airlines.
“The Champaign and Clarksburg communities have shown a strong demand for non-stop service to popular Florida destinations,” says Clay Meek, director of sales and marketing for Vision Airlines. “Passengers from Clarksburg and Champaign will no longer have to endure connecting flights and long layovers. Passengers in these markets will enjoy the quick flights and the low fares that Vision Airlines continues to offer. The new fares will start as low as $99 each-way.”
Pricing quoted by Meek for the introductory one-way fares does not include taxes and government fees and the fares are valid from travel only from December 19, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
