American Airlines’ sister regional carrier American Eagle is adding two more seasonal daily round-trip flights between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) serving Canada’s national capital Ottawa from April 5.
The new flights will mean American Eagle offering five round-trips a day on the route on weekdays and up to four a day on weekends. American Eagle will operate the additional flights with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets.
“We’re delighted to increase our service from Ottawa to American’s cornerstone hub in Chicago,” says Gary Foss, vice president – planning and marketing for American’s regional network. “Now with five daily nonstop flights, customers from [Canada’s] National Capital Region will have even more travel options throughout the day, as well as more convenient connections in Chicago to destinations throughout American’s vast global network.”
American Eagle O’Hare-Ottawa schedule from April 5 will see flight AA4161 depart ORD at 7:25 a.m. on weekdays and arrive at YOW at 10:15 a.m. (All times are local.) Flight AA3907 (one of the new flights) is timed to leave ORD at 9:50 a.m. daily and land at YOW at 12:40 p.m. The other new flight, AA4224, will push back from the gate at ORD at 1:00 p.m. daily and get to YOW at 3:50 p.m. Flight AA4097 will leave ORD at 3:05 p.m. daily and reach YOW at 5:55 p.m. Flight AA4098 is scheduled to depart ORD at 9:20 p.m. every day except Saturdays in order to touch fown at YOW at 12:10 a.m.
In the other direction, flight AA4264 will leave YOW at 6:45 a.m. every day except Sundays and get to ORD at 8:05 a.m. (Again, all times are local.) Flight AA4300 is timed to depart YOW at 10:50 a.m. every day except Saturdays and land at ORD at 12:10 p.m. One of the new flights, AA3913, will push back at YOW at 1:15 p.m. daily in order to make a 2:35 p.m. arrival at ORD. AA4231, the other new flight, is scheduled to depart YOW at 4:25 p.m. daily and get to ORD at 5:45 p.m. Flight AA4302 will leave YOW at 6:30 p.m. daily and touch down at ORD at 7:50 p.m.
