Allegiant Air has begun operating nonstop service between Newport News in Virginia and Orlando Sanford International Airport in Florida, and between Lexington in Kentucky and Las Vegas.
The airline is offering introductory fares from $51.99 (plus government fees) between Newport News and Orlando Sanford International Airport, as well as introductory one-way fares from $84.99 (again before government fees) between Lexington and Las Vegas.
Both the $51.99 fare and the $84.99 fare must be purchased by November 30, for travel by May 15, 2012. A “convenience” fee of $17.00 per passenger, levied for booking via Allegiant’s website, is included in the introductory one-way fare. A fee of $14.99 per segment will apply when the ticket purchased through Allegiant call centers. Purchases made at any Allegiant airport ticket office will not incur a convenience or call center fee.

The new Allegiant Air flight between Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (IATA code PHF, the code an abbreviation of Patrick Henry Field, the airport’s original name) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) will operate four times a week, with service on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Allegiant Air’s Orlando Sanford-Newport News service is scheduled to push back from the gate at SFB at 1:10 p.m. and to reach PFB at 3:00 p.m. The two airports are in the same time zone. In the other direction, the airline’s flight is timed to leave PHF at 3:40 p.m. and land at SFB at 5:30 p.m.
The carrier’s new Lexington-Las Vegas service operates twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
On the Las Vegas-Lexington sector, Allegiant Air’s flight is timed to depart Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) at 8:00 a.m. and get to Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport (LEX) at 2:30 p.m. local time. In the other direction, the carrier’s flight is scheduled to leave LEX at 3:45 p.m. and to touch down at LAS at 5:00 p.m. local time.
