Air Canada will launch non-stop services between four Canadian hubs and 12 U.S. cities in its summer 2016 season, with 10 of the 12 new routes to be operated on a year-round basis.
The new Canada-U.S. transborder routes will introduce three new destinations for Air Canada: Washington Dulles International Airport, Salt Lake City International Airport and Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport.
Air Canada’s new U.S. routes will also create new city-pair routings for the carrier, such as Vancouver-Chicago, Montreal-Houston, Montreal-Denver and Calgary-San Francisco.
To promote the new routes, Air Canada is offering special introductory fares; details are available on www.aircanada.com.
“Air Canada is the foreign carrier operating the most flights to the U.S., carrying the most customers and serving the most destinations,” says Benjamin Smith, president, passenger airlines for Air Canada.
“As such, we are pleased to strengthen our market presence, particularly as the U.S. is the top destination for Canadian travelers and Canada is one of the most popular destinations for Americans,” adds Smith.
