AeroMexico is launching new seasonal services to Mexican destinations from Chicago and from the California cities of Fresno and Sacramento.
The airline, which is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance, will begin operating seasonal flights from Chicago to Morelia and Puerto Vallarta on December 12 and December 21 respectively.
AeroMexico will also launch seasonal services linking Fresno and Morelia and between Sacramento and León/Guanajuato in central Mexico on December 17. These flights are in addition to AeroMexico’s flights from Fresno and Sacramento to Guadalajara, routes which it serves with three and five weekly frequencies respectively.
The airline’s seasonal service between Morelia and Chicago will see flight AM618 depart Morelia’s General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport (IATA code MLM) at 10:32 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from December 12 and arrive at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) at 2:24 a.m. the following morning, local time.
In the other direction, flight AM619 will leave ORD at 3:39 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from December 13 and reach MLM at 8:04 a.m. local time.
AeroMexico’s schedule from Puerto Vallarta to Chicago will see flight AM1773 leave Puerto Vallarta’s Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) at 12:44 p.m. on Wednesdays from December 21 and touch down at ORD at 4:44 p.m. local time.
In the other direction, flight AM1774 will depart ORD at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesdays from December 21 and get to PVR at 11:45 a.m. local time.
On January 29, AeroMexico will add a weekly Saturday round-trip between Puerto Vallarta and Chicago, the flights having the same schedule as the Wednesday round-trip.
AeroMexico will operate its Morelia-Chicago service with a Boeing 737-800 offering the Aeromexico Contigo program, a service product the airline recently launched that offers customers in the migrant market personalized attention and the option to transport bulky luggage.
This aircraft is configured to seat 174 passengers, with 18 seats in an AM Plus section which offers increases legroom.
AeroMexico’s schedule for its Morelia-Fresno service will see flight AM730 departing MLM at 9:57 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 17 and getting to Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) at 0:11 a.m. the following morning, local time.
In the other direction, flight AM731 will leave FAT at 1:26 a.m. on Wednesdays from December 18 and touch down at MLM at 7:04 a.m. local time.
The carrier’s schedule for its weekly round-trip from Guanajuato International Airport (which serves León/Guanajuato, is also known as Del Bajio International Airport and has the three-letter code BJX) to Sacramento will see flight AM630 leave BJX at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 17 and get to Sacramento International Airport (SMF) at 0:35 a.m. the following morning, local time.
In the other direction, flight AM631 will depart SMF at 1:35 a.m. on Wednesdays from December 18 and land at BJX at 7:15 a.m. local time.
AeroMexico will also operate both of these new routes with Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured offering its Aeromexico Contigo program.
