3M Privacy Filters is introducing a smartphone-compatible version of its travel website AirportPrivacyHavens.com (formerly AirportHavens.com), so that with their smartphones holiday travelers in the U.S. can easily locate the best private spaces at airports, which are otherwise often hard to locate.

A recent survey commissioned by 3M Privacy Filters found that 92 per cent of travelers wish airports offered private spaces allowing them to get work done and relax while waiting to board flights. Global Strategy Group conducted the online survey of 806 adults throughout the U.S. between April 14 and April 17.

From deserted airport gates to serene chapels and meditation rooms, AirportPrivacyHavens.com contains an extensive collection of the best places to find privacy, get work done or simply relax at airports across the U.S., says 3M.

Frequent business travelers and road warriors helped 3M create the travel website by contributing their insider secrets to help their fellow travelers. 3M continues to seek new airport privacy havens and encourages travelers to submit their suggestions at the website.

Additionally, throughout November, 3M Privacy Filters is providing three Airport Privacy Havens in busy U.S. airports where privacy is needed most:

Chicago O’Hare International:  Terminal 2 near the entrance to concourses E & F (from November 1 to December 1);

● Dallas/Fort Worth International:  Terminal C near Gates 2 and 3 (from November 1st – December 1); and

New York John F Kennedy International Airport: Terminal 8 near the entrance to American Airlines’ Admirals Club (from November 10 to December 7).

Each Airport Privacy Haven will offer travelers comfortable, private seating and electrical outlets throughout the month of November along with special services during the busiest days of the Thanksgiving travel season. On November 24-25 and November 28-29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., travelers who visit the havens will enjoy free massages and complimentary Wi-Fi access (while supplies last).

“3M Privacy Filters offer added protection and privacy by darkening laptop and mobile phone side views so others can’t see sensitive data when working in public places,” says Sheryle Taylor, marketing communication manager for 3M Optical Systems. “Through these three unique airport privacy havens and our travel website, we want to help business travelers find the total privacy when and where they need it most.”
