The Airbus A380 flew on December 13 from Airbus’ widebody final-assembly facility at Toulouse Blagnac Airport in France to the aircraft manufacturer’s facility at Finkenwerder Airfield in Hamburg, Germany.
At Finkenwerder, the first Asiana Airlines A380 will undergo painting and cabin furnishing before flying back to Toulouse for delivery to the airline.
Asiana’s first A380 bears the manufacturer’s serial number 152, indicating it is the 152nd A380 to be produced.
South Korea’s Asiana Airlines will become the 12th operator of the Airbus A380 when it takes delivery of its first aircraft in the second quarter of 2014.

As of November 30, Airbus had booked firm orders for 259 A380s.
This total did not include a planned firm order for 50 A380s announced by Emirates at the Dubai Airshow 2013 in mid-November, nor a memorandum of understanding for 20 A380s announced at the Paris Air Show in June 2013 by Doric Lease Corp.
