On August 30, 2023 in Hamburg, Airbus inaugurated a brand new automated equipment hangar dedicated to the A321XLR. This inauguration was officially carried out by the first mayor of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, and the coordinator of German aerospace, Anna Christmann. With this addition, Airbus continues the modernization and digitalization of its industrial system, expanding its capacity to increase the production rate of the A320 program to 75 in 2026. Airbus’ Hamburg site plays a significant role in the expansion of production of the A321XLR.
