Airbus: new A321XLR equipment hangar in Hamburg

Airbus has opened a new equipment installation hangar in Hamburg for the A321XLR, aiming to increase production to 75 A320 aircraft per month by 2026. The hangar will use cutting-edge technologies and fully digital systems.

As part of its strategy to increase production, Airbus recently inaugurated a brand new installation hangar dedicated to the A321XLR in Hamburg, Germany. This 9,600 m2 production space, designated H259, was designed to simultaneously equip up to eight A320/A321neo rear fuselage sections. All components of the A321XLR rear fuselages will be installed and assembled in this hangar which benefits from the latest technologies for operation and manufacturing.
