Air Industries Group has added welding capability for arresting equipment to its resources to support the US Navy’s E-2D aircraft program, becoming the sole provider of a critical welding process.
Air Industries acquires essential welding equipment for the E-2D aircraft platform.
Air Industries Group today announced that in conjunction with a major OEM customer, it has obtained the welding equipment, associated tooling and peripheral equipment used to weld the stopper that secures the tail hook of the E-2D aircraft, essential for landing on aircraft carriers. This machine is the only equipment currently certified to weld the stop device. With the addition of the shutdown device welding equipment, Air Industries will become the only supplier in our industry of a critical welding process for the E-2D platform.
