The airline company Air France becomes Official Partner of Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Gamesin the continuity of the support for the candidacy of the capital “and the transport of the Olympic flame in Concorde during the Games of Albertville in 1992”.

The French national company based at the airport of Paris CDG announced on July 20, 2023 the signing of a partnership agreement with the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (COJOP). Air France is now preparing to “Open the Games wide”, and to host the world in France from July 24 to August 11, 2024 for Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesand from August 28 to September 8, 2024 for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. It thus becomes an official partner of the 33rd Olympiad of the modern era and reiterates its support for the organization of this global event, after having been a partner in the Paris 2024 bid since 2016.

Air France teams “in Paris and around the world” are already mobilized to prepare for the arrival of athletes, supporters and media in France for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Particular attention will be paid to travelers with reduced mobility and in a situation of disability, who may in particular call on the company’s SAPHIR service for any request for assistance. For more than 20 years, this service has offered Air France customers with disabilities “assistance before and after the flight, throughout the customer journey: help with booking, issuing tickets, setting up assistance in collaboration with the exceptional transport department. The women and men of Air France are also preparing for the transportation of equipment athletes needed for the various Olympic and Paralympic disciplines: javelins, poles, kayaks, bicycles, wheelchairs or even surfing for the events on the Teahupo’o wave in Tahiti.

Lastly, Air France will take part in the check-in system set up within the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Seine Saint-Denis to allow athletes to check in and drop off their luggage and sports equipment directly on site before their return flight. They can then go to the airport via a dedicated route.
