Air France-KLM And GOL Linhas Inteligent Aéreas signed an agreement aimed at extending and strengthening their commercial cooperation for the next 10 years.

As part of this agreement, both partners mutually consent to theexclusivity on transatlantic routes between Europe and Brazil to provide better matching opportunities, improved customer experience, and more benefits for their respective customers.

Initially established in 2014 for a period of 5 years, this commercial partnership between Air France-KLM and GOL has already been renewed in 2019. Today, one in five customers traveling to Brazil on Air France or KLM continues their trip on a connecting flight operated by GOL. In total, more than two million passengers have benefited from this partnership since its launch.

As part of the renewal of their partnership, Air France, KLM and GOL will continue to invest in improving the customer experience with a view to offering an ever more consistent product. Customers will benefit from an optimized network between Europe and Brazil, covering more than 80 European destinations, 45 destinations in Brazil and soon, new destinations in Latin America. The agreement also provides for the expansion of code sharing agreements, the strengthening of joint commercial actions as well as better benefits for customers through the Air France-KLM Flying Blue and GOL SMILES loyalty programs.

This strengthened collaboration will also result in an extension of the maintenance activities provided to GOL by Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), with support for the Brazilian company’s CFM56 and LEAP engines.
