an airbus A320neo dAir China made an emergency landing at Singapore airport this Sunday September 10 after a left engine failure.
Reportedly, the crew sent the code 7700 into the transponder, indicating an emergency. Passenger footage shows the cabin filled with smoke. The plane was evacuated onto the airport runway as the central core of the PW1100G engine caught fire. A video shows the moment passengers exit the A320neo via emergency slides as fire trucks approach.
The A320neo registered B-305J was delivered by Airbus in December 2018 on lease with the company Bocomm Leasing.
At the time of writing these lines, the chinese airlinea member of the Star Alliance, had not communicated, including on possible injuries.
