The airline company Air Algeria inaugurated a new link between Alger And Saint PETERSBOURGhis second to Russia.
As announced two weeks ago, since July 26, 2023, the Algerian national company has offered three flights per week between its base in Algiers-Houari-Boumediene and the airport of St Petersburg-Pulkovo, operated by Boeing 737-600 that can accommodate 16 passengers in Business class and 85 in Economy. Departures are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. to arrive the next day at 3:15 a.m., with return flights leaving the Russian city on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 4:15 a.m. to land at 7:15 a.m. Air Algérie has no competition on this route, as on the one linking its capital to Moscow-Sheremetyevo.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the inaugural flight, Air Algérie Commercial Director Yacine Amiar said that ” the opening of this line intervenes to consolidate the relations with Russia and is added to the program of the flights towards the Russian capital Moscow ensured by the Company. This Algiers/Saint-Petersburg line is part of our network expansion program and strengthening our international presence particularly in Asia and Eastern Europe, which is able to help meet the demands of our customers wishing to travel to and from Algeria, or transit through the Algiers Hub to the various destinations served by the Company “.
The leader clarified thatother novelties are planned from Algiers airport, to Johannesburg (South Africa), Libreville (Gabon), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Abuja (Nigeria) and Douala (Cameroon) for Africa; but also to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong (China), New York (United States), Caracas (Venezuela) and Havana (Cuba).
